K12 Indiana e-Procurement - Purchases are now being made through the K-12Indiana e-Procurement system. In partnership with the Indiana Department of Administration, CIESC and ECESC have been meeting with school districts from around the state over the past several months. To date, six of the other eight Educational Service Centers (ESCs) are supporting the use of the system, and over 50 school districts have participated in informational meetings. MSD of Wayne Township, Southwest Allen County Schools and Plymouth Community Schools, have been supportive, serving as pilot sites. Schools realize the purchasing advantage of statewide-negotiated contracts that are organized into convenient online catalogs and an all-in-one, easy-to-use website: www.K12Indiana.com

Regional ESCs, BPSLIVE, and the Indiana Department of Administration are working closely, with daily communications and weekly meetings, to stay updated on ESC and school requests in order to keep the purchasing system simplified and user-friendly. Learn360 provides an affordable choice in online streaming video. On July 1, 2009, the Education Service Centers of Indiana secured three year pricing at $500 per building, with a 5% increase for each of the next two years, including setup and training. The fee for 2012 is $575 and includes all the new media Learn360 will be adding as well as the other enhancements. Training will be offered in three choices: basic system training that can be completed online, training in person with a trainer in the room and a more comprehensive training that shows the integration of the use of video tools in the classroom. Vintage Tech Recyclers - There have been many discussions about what to do with old, outdated and practically useless electronic equipment - computers, monitors, laptops, televisions, printers, etc. We now have a service that will help you address that need for your schools. East Central ESC has entered into an agreement with Vintage Tech Recyclers. We will provide free pickup by Vintage Tech Recyclers if you have over 50 pieces to recycle. Less than 50 pieces will picked up by our courier drivers who come to your school every other week. There is no cost to the school. All computers will have the data removed 9R2 certified) so you can be assured that none of your school data remains on the hard drive. Additionally, you will receive a report and a certificate from Vintage Tech Recyclers verifying the equipment was recycled.
