NIESC Online Media Catalog Ordering Instructions
* In order to process an online request, you must have Internet access, you must be a member of our service center, you must have an account in our system which consists of a password and a PIN number, and allow a 14- day lead time to process the media order. - With your mouse hover over Media in the navigational menu on our homepage then click on the Search and Order Online words with your left mouse button.
- To Log In: Click on the "Bookings" link in the top blue interactive blue tool bar, enter your password and borrower number (ID/PIN) in the space provided and click "Login". Verify your name and location and click "Catalog Home" at the bottom of the page. The Password and Borrower PIN are not case-sensitive.
- In the find box, type either the title, subject, or title number of the item you wish to borrow, select the grade level (un-check all grade levels box first) then click search. The Sort, Search, Find, and Show options edit how the items are displayed on your page. The area titled MEDIA is where you select what type of item you would like to have displayed.
- To search for new items only, type your subject in the find box, click on the New Titles button. To narrow this by grade level, select grade level below the find box to see everything in the catalog at the given level under a certain subject.
- To see everything in the catalog, select grade level; click your cursor in the find box. Hit your space bar once and click search. It may take some time to load everything, but it will show everything in the library at the selected grade level. To minimize the load time, in the SHOW area on the bottom right, select SUMMARY. This will just give the title names, grades, type of media and length of media.
- After finding the item you wish to borrow, click the read order link to the right of the page.
- At this screen enter a date in mm/dd/yyyy format. You must enter a date at least 14 days from the day you are processing the order. Do not count your delivery day as one of the 14 days, Scroll or page down, click order. As long as you logged in as in Step #3, you will not have to enter your PIN Number and Password, if you have not logged in, enter this information now.
- At this screen, you should see the item, the date you receive it, and the date you will return it. It is recommended that you print this information as your confirmation. Click Order Again.
- At this screen it will tell you your order is complete. If you do not get a message stating "Title Order Complete" you may have missed a step or failed to click order through three pages. You may continue to order as long as you are online. The system "remembers" your PIN Number and Password so that you don't have to add any information other than the date when you continue to stay logged on and continue to order. To logout, click logout at the top of the page or simply close your browser.
- To view your bookings for the year,, click "Bookings" at the top of the search page. If you are not already logged in, enter your password and PIN Number and click login. You will be able to view your selections for the current year. You may renew from this area as well as long as you login the day before the item is due, the item is still in your possession, and the Renew button is visible. You may also delete from this screen.
To renew items for the following year: This process should not be done until after May 10th of the current school year. We must have received your upcoming school calendar prior to your Mass Booking your orders. If you are unsure of whether we have received your calendar, contact your media specialist or the Media Manager.
- Follow Step #1 in the previous step of instructions to view the Media Catalog System
- Click on "Bookings" at the top of the page and login with your assigned Password and PIN Number.
- Scroll to the bottom of the bookings page and you will see a MASS BOOKING Button
- Click on the MASS BOOKING Button
- You should have a list of all of the items for the current year. To select All of the items, Select the ALL option at the top under RENEW. This will place a checkmark next to all of your items. To select only individual items, you will select each item you want to order.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the MASS BOOK NOW Button
- Be patient, it could take several minutes to renew your items based on how many you currently have.
- Check your results. Look for red text where an item may have been adjusted to your school calendar, or there are not enough copies or duplicate bookings. You may need to delete these items and re-order based on your individual needs.
